There has only been one thread where I have seen someone post pictures of running a similar setup. Not that others haven't done it. Unfortunately, that thread is very old and the pictures are no longer in it.
Honestly, there is no advantage doing so. Cars like the Corvette are designed to run that way (i.e. lower profile tire with the smaller wheel up front) where as the FD is not. In this sense, you end up with more tire on the front than the rear. Say the stock wheel/tire diameter is 24 inches. If you have a 16 inch wheel, then you have 4 inches of tire going around. So, you use 18 inch wheels. The idea is to keep the same overall diameter so then you end up with 3 inches of tire going around. Now if you have 17 on the front and 18 in the rear, you will have about 3.5 (24 - 17 = 7, 7 / 2 = 3.5) inches of tire up front with 2 in the rear (24 - 18 = 6, 6 / 2 = 3).
Now, people do ignore keeping the same diameter and just use lower profile tires than they should to get a "look" they want. But it's not ideal to do so...

Thanks for the input mahjik.
I plan on compensating for the lack of wheel diameter in the front with more tire as you said. therefore, its not really my concern at the moment. I plan on running a wide wheel, 9.5 to be exact, and a lower offset for the more aggressive look. I'm aware this is going to limit my tire sizing width wise, and am planning on going with a mildly stretched tire setup. I was really just curious to see if anyone else had done this, and how the setup looked. Im more of a fan of fds with 18s up front, but 17s would cause a lot less rubbing issues with the sizing im going with.
I'm going for something along these lines:
I have a feeling i'm not going to have much luck here, but if your running a similar setup, id love to see it!
Thanks!
