so i want coilovers, i'm limited to only a few choices, and i just want everyones input on these if they have them and their reviews. its between:
buddy club d1 spec's
tein basic's
or
ksport coilvoers.
i heard the tein basics arent that great, i drift my car so my natural selection was the buddy clubs but i just want reviews on your guys' coilovers let me know! thanks.

All of those choices are between the 600-1000 range.
If you're in that price range, then I would look at Stance's also. But from those three up there, I would choose the Buddy Clubs. The Tein Basic is purely an asthetic coilover. Offers only ride height adjustability, no camber plates, no dampening. The Ksports are a cheap entry coilover (unless you're going for the Ksport Pros or Circuit coilovers) and probably the only good thing with them is that they're made/rebuildable here in the USA (Arizona).

I'd think the D1's are the best of those you posted. I've read several good reviews of them and considered getting them myself untill I figured out that they didn't use camber plates, but rather slotted holes to get camber adjustment in front, but on the FD that's not an issue.
But on the FD when you take into consideration the cost of the GC kit for the FD along with Konis, it gets up there in price. Then add pillowball mounts to the picture and man it's gotta be real hard for them to compete with these integrated setups.
I remember the FD GC app was like 399 or 499 back in the day, plus shocks.

I would say no to the KSports the 3000gt guys are having issues with them leaking

Plus, you know you can get the Koni's serviced here in the US. IMO, unless someone is going to spend $1500 or more on a coilover setup, I would go with the Koni's. About a year ago, I wouldn't have been recommending that. For a street car, the Tein Basics would probably be fine. However, for performance driving, I wouldn't recommend that route. The Tein Flex would be about the bottom of the line which I would recommend from the integrated kits for performance driving.
