Being that the FD is a high offset vehicle and you're looking for a stock fender fitment you will need to observe the spoke architecture of the wheels.

A wheel that will produce more lip in the relatively same offset and width is going to have a "knuckled" spoke like the Work Meister S1. i.e. the white phat 5 spoke wheel shown above. That's what you need to look for.

Any wheel with a flat face will not produce lip. i.e. the Work Equip, flat 5 spoke pictured above.

The pics he's posted might be deceiving so don't assume your FD will be able to have that lip in a "GRIP" fitment.

There's some guidelines to help you look for wheels.

i.e. Meister S1, Gramlight 57Pro, AME Circlar Spec R, etc..... Produce good lip in high offsets.

the meisters i have in the pics are mine
they are 18x9 +9
not much of a lip at all

the VS-XX are 18x10 -12
they have so so lip

the equips have a decent lip on them
then again the offset is -39 on a 10.5 wide rim

No offense battleaxe, but I think he's already stated what he's looking for:

Sorry battle but your post didn't really help much. No matter what it's going to come down to spoke architecture. This is a problem because RX7's just don't run negative offsets with stock bodies. It just doesn't happen and especially on the FD. Your wheels are just wayyyy too low of an offset for the FD so lip sizes of your wheels are misleading.

Also one would want to identify what they define as "deep dish". For the RX7 guy that might just be about 2", for the Z33 guy it might be like 5-6".

Yeah I heard that Deep Dish wheels with decent lip for FD are like 2-3 inches compared to 6 for other cars like the 350Z but that's fine, I just wanted to know what I could have...

Hey Carl,

I think the Gram Lights would be a sick wheel. They also have the knuckle that has been mentioned. Used on Immamura's Apexi FD http://www.autornd.com/catalog/produ...eecfb0a97bb4ed.

i just re posted the size for a clarification in how much lip there is with a certain offset and width

not trying to push my style on ur guys cars, just lettin ya know

meisters in general have a weird 2 stage lip
so it doesnt look like much cause the spokes go out and then back in
so the lip is misleading
u have to get retardo size meisters to get crazy lip

Whatever your max is, you can take about $1000 out of that for tires/mounting. So if 4k is your max, then you'll have about 3k for wheels. So you are looking at having about $750 available per wheel (not counting shipping the wheels to you). If you want to add in shipping, a conservative approach would be to go with $700 per wheel.

That still opens the door for a lot of wheels you can get. Next is what style do you like? Mesh, multi-spoke, split spoke?

im on a couple other forums as well
i dont dare post my car on this forum
too much hate on drifterzzzzz

i came here to post my friends fitment on his fd
and i ended up stickin around cause i like to help ppl
but ppl here dont seem to want to MAKE rims fit their cars

i end up talking to a wall but i still seem to do it ... HAHAHAHA

as for vipstyle cars, im on there too
they arent all genious' but there is a few that are really knowledgeable
the type of cars are also different and so are their offsets
large sedans dont take lower offsets too well til u start to flare and go widebody
their offsets stay around +20-+30 in 9+ widths

im on ziptied and ill be posting my build up in body shop next month
u can check it out on there if u like, ill come back here and link it or sumin
