PLanning on getting new rims, what size tires should I run to minimize rubbing?

I've got about a 2" drop on my FD and I want to get new rims. I did a quick search and it seems like +45 offset is what I need. I don't know about the tires though. The rims are 18X8.5, front and rear. I'm thinking about 255/18 tires but I don't know what the aspect ratio should be. Any suggestions?

The commonly found setup in those widths and tire sizes for an FD are

8.5" and 9.5" wide with +40 offset front and rear. The higher the better, closer to +50 is ideal for the sake of the wheel bearings. Tires for those widths in 18" is usually 235/40/18 and 265/35/18.

If you can find a 9" wide +45 for all four corners then I would definitely suggest the 255/35/18 symmetrical setup. The are wheels out there in this setup and the higher your budget as well as wait time greatly increases your options.

I have many suggestions. If you would like feel free to email me at: sales@autornd.com with your relative budgets and functions with or without tires. I should be able to make your decisions a bit more efficient. If you can't get a hold of me thru email please call me at work 408-635-0000 ext: 1#

Thanks, Rishie
