Personally I wouldn't get wheels that looked like more expensive ones. I'd get inexpensive wheels that made no pretensions of being more expensive than they are. Nuff said.

You're right. They were cheap wheels made to look expensive. Oh...sorry...didn't mean to hang off of your nuts again...LOL

^^ yes, and that is the problem most of the time. You sit and say it's thier money and as long as they are happy, but then you have to turn around and make a snide comment about the purchase anyway.

Well if you read my posts you will understand why i bought them, they looked nice for what i wanted to spend! so to make you happy i would have to buy wheels that look like **** or according to what i paid for them this thread was going fine til you decided repeatedly voice your personal oppinions and try to be funny! this type of stuff is why this forum has a bad reputation.

It's amazing what crawls out of the woodwork when I'm honest about my opinions.

Here's the deal. If you're going to post your wheels for opinions, don't get bent out of shape if I come along and render a negative view. Everyone else voiced theirs, why can't I? I'm not being impolite, just honest. Maybe no one wants honesty anymore. Ok the smilies might have been over the top...but I was being playful...honestly...

I guess if you want to wear the "Emperor's Clothes", so be it. I'll keep my fingers away from the keyboard like CrispyRx7 and DamonB...

Honesty is fine, but continuing to egg on, belittle, poke fun , and imply lots of $$$ is better, is a different ballgame.

Please don't start **** with me now, I'm offering a bi-partisan opinion on this thread that has gone south. Your persona here doesn't threaten me nor are you the only one who follows wheels in depth. So please drop it

i never made this thread to say or state i have the best looking or performing wheels! i just was showing what i just bought since i haven't posted in awhile. i understand you put out your oppinion and all thats fine and dandy, but it becomes unecessary by posting multiple posts with ignorant statements, comparing another persons car and smilies! anyway no big deal, thats all i have to say on that.

Sleep, you know people don't normally wonder about my opinion either because I'll give it. But when I tell someone I don't like their choice I don't get suprised when they don't like to hear it

...and anybody who has ever posted a pic of "My New (blank)!!" secretly wants us all to tell them we love it, otherwise they wouldn't have posted it. That's why I don't go in the interior/exterior section much, because then I'd have to tell them their unpainted cf hood and new body kit look like ***

Yeah, I'm cool with people disagreeing...let's just keep it clean and not stoop to vulgar displays. Our contact patch discussion was a great example. No one stooped to vulgarity. Vulgarity is the easy way out LOL

All right DamonB...I'll keep my negative opinions to myself. I'll strive to be more like you and Crispy LOL

I just finished reading this:

The Racing and High Performance Tire A new in depth book by Paul Haney that is full of info about the modern racing tire.

Highly recommended. I'll finally get around to buying the Milliken's book now, then Gillespie's, then Dixon's shock book.

anybody would like hear someone likes their wheels, but that doesn't matter to me. Hell my wife doesn't like these wheels at all! but what can i say everyone has an opinion and i respect that. SleepR1 you went overboard about your opinion and DamonB also stated that you were egging me on so clearly i wasn't the only one who got that point.

Wow, I leave you guys for a couple of hours to go play some football and basketball and you turn this into fight club. Shame on all of you Im kidding. Anyways, those rims did cost a HELLUVA lot more than what you paid for yours (almost 5 times as much!), but I do have the performance and looks. I just lost out on the price side of the equation. It all equals out in the end. Thanks for the compliment sleep, but next time you all can leave my nutz out of it. I kinda like them right where they are.

Oh yeah, and the cop came by wondering if I upgraded to racing cams yet. Just kidding, he was there first, I parked next to him because it was the only spot with one open next to it so I can get a pic.

like i said in my post it's quite obvious they cost a pretty penny and they look extremely good on your car,but i chose to spend $1100 on wheels and tires cause my priorities are elsewhere at this point in time. As for the nutz qoute i made, was not aimed to offend you in anyway just your buddy sleep kept involving you in his .

Oh, in that case it was only three times as much (I forgot that the 700 or whatever was only for the rims). I'm kidding about the nutz thing; I know how vicious these things can get, but its all in good fun. You should see the slanderous talk in the SE regional forum. Your rims do look good man, and for that price it is an awesome deal IMO, but I HAVE to have the performance on my car because I have a heavy foot sometimes.
