A friend of a friend was having problems with 18x8.5 up front with a 255/35/18 tire. Offset was +40 so I got a little concerned. He was running the bilstein shocks, and I have heard of problems with those. I am running the M2/Advance Design coilovers with 550/450 linear spring rates front to rear. I think it will be ok. I plan to run 255/35/18 and 285/30/18 tires.

What width wheel? A 17x8.5 +43 and a 17x9.5 +43 are two very different fitements, for example. When talking about offsets, you have to include the wheel width for it to be relevant. Also, where exactly are you 'rubbing' and under what conditions (turning into a inclined driveway, etc)?

Hi. FWIW, that offset is a bit low, and might cause rubbing problems with the factory front fender lips. Those of us with 9 wides x 17s with 255/40-17s all around have at least 43 mm offsets, with aftermarket lowered suspensions, and factory fenders. If you have fender flares, then you shouldn't have any problems, but if you have stock body work, hopefully it's not too late to change your order. Good luck!

Sorry, 17x9 wheels. It rubbed the fender pretty bad, bad enough to pull the fender lip out 3 times in a week or so. I went with 235/40's till I get the fenders rolled.

radkin, xchaos has the same 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels (43-mm offset) up front with 255/40-17 Yokohama ES100s? See his quote below. xchaos has 550 lb/in front springs with no rubbing problems.

I run 17x9 43mm with 255/40s lowered almost an inch without issue. My springs are stiff up front at 550lbs though.

wheels look georgous. Where can you get the fenders rolled? I'd like to go with the same wheel sizes as you, but I have to roll the fender to do so....unless I can get an offset that will allow the wheel to sit far enough back.
