It'll look just like the stockers(stock offset is +40) do, only in a larger diameter, depending on wheel width.

For something close to the fender, stay between +30-40. Of course, exact fitment all depends on suspension mods, wheel widths, and tire selection.

the way it will fit depends HEAVILY on width. offset is basically meaningless without width when it comes to determining how a wheel looks on a car.
if you like the way that 8+40 fits, then the following sizes will get u the same look

6+16
7+28
8+40
9+52

its just basic math. 1" = 25mm roughly. so if you go wider 1", then the wheel extends 12mm outwards and 12mm inwards. if you want it to look the same, move it inwards 12mm if you go wider, outwards 12mm if you went thinner.

alignment also affects the way the wheel looks and fits. neg camber will move the top in, bottom out.

and don't forget about inner clearance as well as outer; for both wheel and tire. run too flush of a wheel and you limit your tire sizing, unless you want your fender to eat the wheel.

Awesome, thanks a lot. If I were to go 17 x 8, what would my options for tire sizing be? 17 x 7? thanks again!

Dude, I think you got the numbers all backwards!
You're going to confuse the guy!

I think it should be...

6.0", +52
7.0", +40
8.0", +28
9.0", +16

i was going with a 8+40 as the base, b/c of the picture posted above.

i was talking about keeping the outer face consistent with the fender. i.e. same outside visual in all wheel widths.

your sequence would be correct if you were concerned about keeping the inside clearance the same.

8.0", +40 will most likely not fit up front.

9.0", +52 I put money will not fit up front.

I just had to post cause this was kinda entertaining.

So ya you're both right. It's like Mr Backspacing vs. Mr Frontspacing, lolz....

87rocket :
You need to ask yourself a few questions and tell us the answers. Then people can easily and efficiently lay down some options for you with ideal fitments.

1. what suspension do you have or will you have? This can change the fitment
2. what style do you want?
3. what's your budget for wheels only?
4. is style a priority over wheel weight? the whole function vs form dilema.

That's a good start. Suspension is key piece of info in case you hadn't already known.

the 8" +40 will work with struts and lowering springs like Tokicos and eibachs, or AGX and eibach.

As implied above,

We cannot recommend any fitmets without knowing what suspension you're running.

So the best way to ask a question is like this:

I have tokico struts and eibach springs, i want to run a

18x8 +38 with 225/40/18 will it fit

OR

I have Coilovers will a . . . . . . . fit?

Then i'd say it will not, nor will a 8" +40 like what's posted above.

It's not an exact science but 98% of the time, it will not work with integrated coilovers.
