Painting Rims

I'm considering picking up some rims for my RX-7 (again).

But they don't come in the color I want (actually it's just the lip). I was wondering how hard would it be to have a quality finish done to the rims to give it a silver lip (considering red doesn't match the blue on my car).

But what's the best way to change a lip color? Any experience will be appreciated.

silver lip? you mean like this?

that's not polished, not painted.

if you want to polish it, strip the paint off and polish.
if you want to paint it, clean it, mask it, scuff off the paint and spray whatever color you want on it.
