ON Other OEM rims that fit the FD??

Looking to throw on a cheap set of rims and rubber on my FD for winter storage. This way i have less chance of flat spots on my good set.

what rims from the second gen will fit the FD? I thought the Turbo II rims might, but im not 100%.

Or any other rim that you can think of i might find cheap.

shawn dude, check out kijjiji theres a crap load in there esp if you just want to store your car on them.
The other thing too is if you arent able to get a set then i recommend just increasing your tire pressure before you put it away. With newer tires like the ones you have, they have better radial construction so a flat spot is not that much of an issue as before, just put more air in.
cheers,
Ken

Already Been doing the higher tire pressure for a few years now, but i just dont like the fact that im sitting on such an expensive set. I dont want to jack the car either so id like to just find a crappy set that at least holds air.

Been on Kijiji.... im jusy checking here to see what gen wheels will fit besides the FD rims to give me more options of a search....the reason for the post

FC rims should be fine as long as they are 15" or above (to clear the brakes). They are a much lower offset than standard FD rims, but no worse than what the stretched tire crowd is using these days. Also, Mustang rims will fit as well. You can find several threads on some FC owners using them in the past. There was a white FD which had some Mustang rims as well.

ill just be leaving the stock rubber on them, its just for winter storage. So i wont be stretching anything....but thats great, now i know that the FC rims are good to go. I figured they were, i just wanted to make sure.

Don't forget that the hub is 59.6mm on the FC, so a stock FC wheel won't be a bolt on affair.

Perhaps?

I want to say MR2 turbo (non turbos are 14" as opposed to the turbo model @ 15") wheels. I see a few of them running 3rd gen wheels, but not 100% maybe someone else can confirm.

I'm referring to the turbo flat wheels and not the smaller rounded 14" wheels.

Actually...I'll wait until my friend comes around and I'll test fit them.

They are a staggered setup. IIRC MR2s need a 15mm space due to interference with the struts and the rear would push out the center cap of the FD wheels, but otherwise fit.

You're welcome to use my stock wheels if you want. I won't sell them, but you can use them this winter if you're in a bind...or at least until you find what you want/need. That will free up some room on this end.

I just picked up a daily drive and the old tires were so worn I tossed a set I had lying around on. Cambered horribly so it looks really sunken.

Pretty sure 300zx, Supra wheels will fit as well as some of the older DSM wheels. At least I know all of the above have been known to use our stock wheels for drag racing
