I'd say Yokohama, but bridgestone makes good ZR rated tires too. Yokohamas wear out fast though. I have the yoko AVS ZR tire and I burned them up in 2 months in the rear. Don't ask me how. I think we all know. :p

My pops had yokohamas on his 3rd gen. VEry happy with them. I have an 87 Turbo II with 89+ engine components if you are wondering.

All I know is the dunlops sucked when my pops had them on the 3rd gen. The car felt musy on the tires. Even messed with the tire pressure too.

go Yokos. Cheaper too! =)

yoko AO32R is a competition tire so you cant really compare it to the bridge S0-3 which is a street tire. a better comparison would be AO32R VS. kumho v700 victoracer

but to answer your question, yoko A032R is a better performing tire by far

This depends on the application.

If you're looking for an outstanding road tire that performs equally well wet or dry, the S-03s are a no-brainer choice.

If you're looking for an R-compound track tire with long usable life, and DOT public road usability, the Advan A032Rs are a good choice. Personally, I'd choose the Pirelli P-Zero C or Toyo Proxes RA-1 for this application.

Everyone is right on. the Bridgestone is streetable and wears better than the Advan which is a race tire. All the guys I know who drive on their Advans to the track say they are loud as hell on the road. Sounds like a 4WD Jeep with mudders on.

A032R

Yeah, hate the "woooommm" sound during the interestate commutes with "slowhama" A32Rs. The Toyo RA-1s aren't much better in the noise department, but slightly better in the stick department.

Go with Pirelli P-Zero Cs

...much quieter and better performing DOT road and track (R-compound) tire than either of the Japanese tires. The Corsas are due to replace the Cs in the near future

The C's are available from Autosport Outfitters (see my sig).

I have a set of the Potenza S-03 on my wife's RX-7. They are awesome feeling. The tires have lots of bite and cornering forces are extremely good. They far surpass the Nexus tires we had on the car before. This is the tire I am putting on the 911 when the tires I have now (Pirelli P-Zeros) are gone.
