Question Offsets for 2nd gen RX7???

Looking at various wheels, both new and second hand.
What offsets will work for 17x8 front and 17x9 rear or 18x8 front and 18x9 rear?

If i only go 8' wide in the rear, what offset should i get?

thanks in advance

Daniel

For a 17x9 in the rear you would need something around 30 - 35mm offset I was told. I am looking into the same thing at the moment but with a 17x7 in the front. I was thinking of going with a set of Volk Gram Lights.

Cool, how about the front wheels?

What offsets will fit an FC? (ie not just the optimal offsets)

cheers

FC fitment recipe

This is what I've done and has worked well. Minor fender rolling should be done regardless. It's just better that way and easy to do on the FC.

Front
7 or 7.5": +30 to +35
8" : +35 to +40

Rear
8": +30 to +40
8.5" +35 to +40
9.0" +35 to +40
9.5" +35 to +38

I'm basing this recipe off experience and aesthetics. There may be more room here and there but these are the common offsets found in most wheels as well.

Does a higher offset mean the wheels are further apart (wider track)?

Higher numerical number means track is narrower...

Yeah I think Manny and I made a fitment guide for the FD just might have to do a search. I'll reply back with it.,

I will need your help in rolling my front fenders next week or the week after. I'll call you when I am in the area.

That guide should be posted somewhere......hurry up and get that website up! Jason is the man!
