Offset range for 17x8/17x9 on FC?

Couldn't find the answer I was looking for, but I'm planning to get 17x8's in the front and 17x9's on the rear of my FC and am wondering what range of offsets would acceptable for the front and rear. Take into account that the car will eventually be lowered. Thanks.

I'll help ya, but there is a FC wheel thread and its pretty lengthy.

17 x 8 +38mm -+35mm front

17 x 9 + 38mm- +32mm rear

Now, it also depends what suspension you have or are getting and what tyre size and manufacture. If you can only really run a 225-45 up front max there is now real need for 8's up front....just my .02.

Rear, stay with a 255-40 unless you have 400-500whp. In this case you'll have to make other adjustments and go with 275-40, but IF you plan on 275's the offset must be spot on. +35 - +30mm....

Hope this helps... I had this setup, but I sold the car

17 x 8.5 +40mm w/ 225-45 front

17 x 9.5 +38mm w/ 275-40 rear and opted to use a 3mm spacer cus +38mm is close.

How did the car handle with such a staggered setup?

actually i have 17x8 all around with a 25mm off set. for the rears with a 9 inch wide wheel you could probably get away with a 20-30 offset.

The car handled real good... I'm using it as pass tense now as I had a chance to sell the 91 TII and took the offer.. I go back and forth with it but I needed a change... I bought a 95 MR2 turbo but of course I still love rotaries.

I'd say 8" +25 to +35 depending on suspension

9" +25 to +40 depending on tire size.
