Offset Opinions

Looking at getting some wheels for my FD. Yes i've read the wheel fitment thread and used the excel, i just want opinions. I'm going to be using tein flex coilovers, wheels are 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. The offset comes in either +35 or +45, i was thinking +35 on the rear with a 275 and the +45 with a 245 on the front. I'm not into the "hella flush" ****. I like my tires to be equal to or fatter than the rim. What do you guys think? fender rolling involved?

Rolling shouldn't be necessary, but you are cutting it close.

On my first FD, I had 18X8 and 18X9 RPM 505's. I ran 245's on the front with 285's on the rear.

The offsets were +40 front and +38 rear.

I will say that you need to make sure you go with 245/35/18's and then 275/30/18's for the rear.

Here pics of what my setup looked like at the time, to help give you an idea:

Hope that helps a little..

the tires i plan on using only comes in a 35 series as the lowest profile you can go. your car wasnt dropped either it doesnt appear. That might play a big factor in me having to roll or not.

*edit*
Think i might just get +45 all around and if needed i'll put spacers in the back to get the offset i want. I can always space the wheels out to where i want. Any disadvantage to using spacers? Safety Concerns?

Search on old posts from GoodfellaFD3s for offsets on that sizing.

Correct. That FD was not lowered at all. Rears didn't rub, but the fronts did, mainly due to the tires being too tall.
