What offset will I need for a square setup and stock fenders (FD): 18x10.5 & 265/35

I'd like an idea of the lowest offset that would work on coilovers.

 

Probably 45+ anything below you'll have problems

 

Alignment will make a difference, but +45 should be safe

If you want the full answer.

The standard backspace for fitting the most wheel and tire on the FD for the last 15 or 20 years has been 7.5".

So for 10.5" wide wheel that would be 11.5" (actual wheel width) - 7.5" backspace = 4" front space.
11.5"/2 (for 0 offset) = 5.75.
7.5" backspace - 5.75" 0 offset = 1.75" offset = 44.45mm offset

18x10.5 +44.45 offset would be 7.5" backspace. Round to +44 offset.

Pushing it.
With lots of measuring I found 18x11 +45 fit my FD without hitting the stock trailing arm or Ohlins coilovers and that works out to 7.77" backspace (I will save you the math on that one LOL)..

If you want to get your wheels in as far as possible using a 7.77" backspace would work out to-

18x10.5 +51 offset would be pushing the wheel in as far as possible (on my set-up anyways).

Note: I had a Tripoint speedway front swaybar and I had to shorten it an inch to get full steering lock, other members have told me it works fine with stock style front swaybar.

 

I guess the concensus is +44ish.

I'm gonna see if that's doable with the wheels I'm looking at. They are currently 18x10.5 +5. Let's see if they can be adjust 1.75".
