Question Offset fitment

i have a friend with some volks on his 02 wrx
its 18x8.5 but the thing im worrying about is the offset
is +50mm way to wide?

Wheel width and offset are two different things.



An 18x8.5 +50 wheel would work fine on an FD, front or rear. And 235/40-18 or 245/35-18 would be the proper tire sizes to go with.

I'd worry about the stupid bolt pattern, cause IIRC the WRX runs 5x100mm which does NOT fit a stock RX-7 at all.
