Question offset ?? for 18x10 for my fd

i am getting 18x10 for my fd and was wondering what offset in the rear you guys recommend. i have tein re suspension with rotaryextreme trailing arms and toe-end links. i would like the wheel to be flush with the side of the car. i just want to have an idea for when i talk to the company i feel like they are trying to sell me too low of an offset.

thanks,
john

Sorry , I meant 40. +45 will work fine. Some guys have +38s that fit too (such as Gram Lights).

Gene,
I'm running 18x10" +42 BBS in the rear w/ 275/35/18 tires and no rubbing.... and NO fender rolling or upgraded trailing arms.

Cool, that's a big tire. I'm thinking of 18x10.5 +43 or custom 18x11 (like 50 or 55). Saw some 18x11s on an FD track car with 305 Hoosiers. Man, it was sweet. Have to completely remove the fender lips for the latter, though.

i am going with gram lights also so thanks for all the tips guys. i dont think i am going to go 285 like spoolin even though it looks awesome. i think a 275 will suit my taste just fine.

also i hope you and your girlfriend are feeling better spoolin.

i just got some bbs wheels 18x10 with 20mm offset and they fit FLUSH, but it cambers in enough that just trimming or rolling the lip will work, i think a 25 would be better though

Would 18x10 w/42 offset work for all four corners?

Forgive my doubts as I know you have been through this before, but could you measure the wheel width (outer rim edge to inner rim edge, expected to be ~11 +/-0.25" for a 10" wheel) and the backspacing (inner rim edge to wheel pad) on those wheels? With those two measurements, the offset can be verified (backspace - width/2). I still find it hard to believe that they fit without some serious negative camber. It may also be that the wheel clears the fender lip okay, but that you'd get contact with a tire on there.

My 18x10" setup has exactly 7.5" of backspacing, which is about a +50mm offset. They would rub severely with 30mm less offset -- I can't figure out how +20mm offset would not rub? Pics and info of my setup here:

im looking for some 18x10, and was wondering what offset will fit on all 4 wheels, or do they have to be different? 93 fd, stock suspension, soon to have full suspension so if you could help me out and point me in a direction of some nice 6 spoke rims in a decent price range! thanks guys!

18x10 +50 but you need aftermarket rear trailing arms to increase backspacing.

No such thing in this offset with decent price range. The only one, which I can source, is probably the Foregestar CF5.

I don't see the point in 18x10 in the front for a street car. I run 18x10 +50 Fikse Profile 13 on the track, but on the street you can go with something narrower in the front.

I'd recommend 18x9 +45ish front and 18x10 +45 rear with a 255/35 and 275/35 tire. Works like a charm

P.S. Zombie thread on the real

I have 18x10 +38 but not installed yet but I know it works from other members' cars. I am planning to run 265/35 tyres and as far as I know you do not need to roll or pull fenders with this set up, unless you slam the car. However if you use 285/30 with the offsets I mentioned you will probably need to roll the fenders or adjust negative camber.
