Offset for 18" rims

Hey guys,

I'm ordering the ADR 18" kasai rims. The rears will be 18x9 and the fronts will be 18x8. What should the offset be and what tire dimensions should I go with. I would really appreciate whatever info. you guys can give me. Also, I have the h and r lowering springs on there with a 1 1/2" drop. I don't want to roll the lips of the wheel wells nor do I want them to rub.

Thanks!

Perty much as close to 50 as possible. I am running 18x9 18x10 with 45 offsets. Oh and I am saying this for a FD I dont know about other generations.

MOTO3, Why didn't you run a +50 offset if you suggest it be as close to 50 as possible? I plan on going with an 18x9 up front for my FD and also would like to know what offset to get. is anything from +44 to +50 ok?

thanks

toy not all rims can have custom offset...sometimes you have no choice unless you want to spend bucks for custom rims..

ala

HRE, FIKSE,KINESIS,FORGELINE,CCW etc etc

Damn, Toy! You still don't what offset to get, after all the info on FD offsets that's listed in this forum? Either your wheel dealer sucks, or you're gun-shy in pulling the trigger on a purchase!

Well, the rep at Fikse does kinda suck. I want to be absolutely positive and as precise as possible on the offset that's all. I don't want any rubbing etc. if i'm going to spend this kind of money.

So,SleepR1, for the last time, throw some numbers at me, for the front and the rear. Well, i guess the rear doesn't matter since Fikse already has an 18x10 (285/30) as there standard rear setup for FDs (which is what i want). What should i get for the front? If +44 to +50 is ok, what would be ideal? +47?
I don't need any explanations. Just a number.
Appreciate the help.

The only one that will be able to give you the exact number is someone that has the rims or Fikse. Every rim is contructed differently so a +44 on one wheel may work and not work on a different wheel. The correct offset for a FD will vary from wheel to wheel.

We sell a lot of these wheels and should be able to provide you with the best price as a club member. If you're interested I'll need you to PM me the price you've got and I'll see if I can beat it.

You're stuck with the 8" front and 9" rear. The offsets will be fine to run a 235/40 and 265/35. I have a customer coming in on Friday to fit these wheels. They're awesome and not that heavy. right around 20lbs even.

TOYYYY, call me 408-947-0505 we're a Fikse dealer and can provide you with club pricing as well as the fitment. That's my job and we do FD's all day long. If you want a guarantee then you'll need to call me.

Fikse does not guarantee that fitment as they use an 8,5" width up front as the standard setup for the FD. What suspension are you running, springs wise that is.

Potato, the offset and fitment will remain constant wheel to wheel if the width is the same as well as the offset. Now if you're taking the same offset and changing wheel widths then the fitment may change drastically.

TOYYYY call me. Fikse pricing went up but I got a damn good deal on Kinesis. they end up being a better deal and wheel as well. Count the number of bolts used on both. I can't even count that high on the Kinesis. hehe.

Thanks, rishie
