The Official FC Wheel Fitment Thread
11.5" wide slicks back there is just too wide of a tire.
Getting anything wider than 10.0" is tough.
You can run like 5.0" to 6.0" of backspace back there no problem.
Yeah, 3.0" - 4.0" backspace with the 11.5" slick will hit the fender lip.

yeah, i also have an AE86 with NRCA's and was wondering if they had a similar setup for fc's and from what i read i guess they dont. so thanks for the help i guess ill have to rely on camber plates

Definitive answer please:
30 mm widebody front fenders, 20 mm overfenders rear, maximum wheel width and offsets for both 17 and 18s please.
Thanks.

Anyway, what's the widest I can go with those fenders?

35 is to far in for a 9.5. might fit in the rear.

yeah i wanted to run 18x9.5+35 (3" lip all the way around) w/245-40-18.
I think it would look something like this

but this one does not have +20mm front fenders (i wonder if it will work w/stock fenders?)
i tried pm'ing the owner about the size and the offset but never got a reply, but i have to admit it looks soo good with those lips

On the front you'll need something like a 15mm offset MAX. You really should run a shorter tire too, those are about an inch taller than stock, making it that much harder to get the tires under the fenders without rubbing. A 265/35/18 is a better size, and it's wider for more stick.

Alright guys. Im very happy with my wheels, but i want to know if i can squeeze a little bigger tire in the rear. my wheels are:
17x8 +35 with 235/40
17x10 +35 with 255/40
And fit fine as is. Can i put a 265 on the back? Or no? Thanks for the help.

Hey guys, I found a sweet deal on a set of stock Infiniti G35 six-spoke wheels, but I'm not sure what size tire I should use. Fronts are 17x7.5 +33 offset, rears are 17x8.0 +33 offset. Also I'm buying Shine's wide front fenders (30mm wider). Suggestions on tire size?
^
anywhere between 205/50 to 235/40 in front, and 215/45 to 245/40 in back.
and with those wide fenders, if you want to be able to see the front wheels from any kind of angle you will need ~ 30mm spacers.

So I was doing some math today based on what the minimum and maximum offsets would be for different width rims and based on a stock FC rear fender without rolling the lip, I came up with these numbers.
Keep in mind that there is 10 inches of fender-well between the trailing arm and the lip. using 6" of backspacing to keep the rim off the trailing arm with the exception of the 10" wide wheel.
The maximum offset is the largest offset you can run with about a 1/4" of clearance to the trailing arm. The minimum is the lowest offset you can run this will give you the "flush" look before having to roll the fender depending on tire size
As for the 10" wheel the 38 will keep it off the fender but will most likely rub on the trailing arm. The 32 will keep it off the trailing arm but might rub on the fender lip. I personally ran a 17x10 +35 (255 tire) in the rear, while I would be hard pressed to slip a piece of cardboard (little more then an 1/8") between the wheel and the trailing arm; I never saw any signs of rubbing
You can gain a solid 1/4" by rolling the fender lip and more if you pull the fender
you will also note that the magic number for all widths is 35. 35 is the average of the minimum vs. the maximum, which was kinda of peculiar
again, this is rear wheel fitment
7.0 width - max 70 - min 0 -safest 35
7.5 width - max 64 - min 6 -safest 35
8.0 width - max 57 - min 13 -safest 35
8.5 width - max 51 - min 19 -safest 35
9.0 width - max 44 - min 25 - safest 35
9.5 width - max 38 - min 32 - safest 35
10 width* - max32* - min 38* - safest 35*

can i use a 10mm spacer on the stock studs (up front)
i got some advans and the fronts are 17x8 +45. What do you recommend?
the rears are 17x9 +38, what tire combos should i look for?
