The Official FC Wheel Fitment Thread
#827
After reading and searching around as much as I can stand... 56 pages holy moly. Here's the setup I'm considering, I have -2 camber all around and I know that I had not problems with 16x8 25mm offset 245's all round prior. I autox regularly and need maximum traction all around, the car is pretty neutral but I will be running more power next season and I suspect the rear will wanna kick out more than the front.
Front: 17x8 28mm offset, 245/45/17 Ecsta V710
Rear: 17x9 27mm offset, 275/40/17 Ecsta V710.
Any comments? TIA guys

cool, so I think I'll get this combo on before deciding on the RSR springs... got Kyb AGX/RB springs currently, but would like to go lower, my camber plates raised the car some.

Jeez, there's some wheels I really want, but I just can't see them fitting under stock body work.
They're 17x9 front (+24) and 17x10.5 rear (+27), I was thinking of 245/40/17 in front and 285/40/17 in the rear.
I imagine I'd have to pull/roll the rear fenders and get 30mm flares up front, correct?

Or do you still think their too much wheel for me? Also remember I have a 1in drop and if they do fit what would be the best kinda tire to use? I would like the lowest profile tire I could get. Thanks

I still think an 8" wide +35 is just too tight up front.
Others will argue otherwise.
A thin spacer will easily fix any clearance problems.
The rears are not a problem.

18x7.5" 35 Offset with a 225/40 tire up front
18x8.5" 35 Offset with either a 255 or 265 /35 tire in the rear
Will the clear the inner stock suspension and not require any kind of fender rolling?

I see a bunch of wheel combinations for 16"+ wheels, but will 15's fit on a 91 FC3S? Did a search on this thread but nothing came up (and I didn't want to read through 57 pages!) I'd like to have as much meat as possible, but I'm not sure if a 15" wheel would clear the brakes. Is anyone running 15's on their FC or do I have to go with a 16" wheel?

I just bought these for my FC. I have 17*7.5 +40 Gram lights all around now. With So-3's, Tein Flex coilovers, the fronts are close. Very close. I did not jack the spring perch up. Installed per their directions. The lip of the rim sits vey close to the perch. I have been on this set up for 3+ years and no problems.
Now with a 8.0+35, my quick calculations tell me the inside of the wheel should be in the same place as the 7.5+40. And should sit more flush with the fender. I don't mind, if I need a 2mm-3mm spacer. I will post pics in a few weeks of them installed.

Thanks for the quick reply Ted! Looks like I lucked out... Seems that Rota Slipstreams only come in 16x8 +45mm and 16x7 +40/+45/+48mm. Is there no way in heck those would fit?

A slightly spacer would work easily to make them fit.
Rears will fit no problem.
Stock FD rims are 8" +50 and fit with just bending the muffler heat shield.
You got 7mm of spacing more, and that's like over 1/4".

Rears not a problem.
16x7 +40 is the stock Turbo II size, and this'll fit up front no problem.
