what would you suggest up front? Just trying to get something that looks flush but that i can do a little shredding with... o and it stock lowering springs.
The stock spring perch and lack of negative camber really limit what you can fit up front. Lowering springs usually provide less room as the coils get larger closer to the spring perch now.
For instance the 225/45-17 you mentioned is going to be about max tire fitment and require +30 offset- which leaves it pretty far from flush (only 10mm out on rim face from stock).
A flush look would be more like a 205/50-17 with +15 offset and you could go as wide as 9".
So, on those Rota grids I would get four 17x9 +35 and 205s and run 20mm bolt on spacers all the way around for a flush look.
That way if you want grip later you can run up to 275 in the rear no spacer and 255 up front with just a 10mm spacer, coilovers for camber and rolling the front lip under.

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here, I'm currently thinking of these setup
17x9 +25 on all four wheels along with 225/50/17 for a little stretch at the front and 245/50 at the rear
I'm using Cusco's adjustables at the moment, do u guys think it will fit? Also, would like to have some camber in, hope you gurus will have some comment about this

Hey Guys,
Ive been looking at these 17 BBS RS wheels for sale in the states and before i order them i need to try get my head round if they will fit. Now ive been doing some research over the past few days and just wanted to see if ive made sense of understanding the whole offset and fitment etc.....
The wheel sizes are 17 x 8 + 35 offset
17 x 9 + 35 offset
Im not to fussed what tire size i will have to run more just want to know if they will fit on the car, and from what ive read from most people they should and if anything they may sit closer towads the shock tower correct me if im wrong, i do have teins coilovers on my car. But here is my biggest concern or question do wheels have to be designed to clear bigger brakes or do you just get around this with an offset change?
I have a black inifini i really want to give it the orginal look like in this pic.
Thanks

Im currently running these enkei RP01's which are 17 x 7.5 (+32) and 17 x 8 (+38)
Now the front enkei just clear my willwood brakes with a 4mm spacer.
With these BBS wheels and according to the online offset calulators i should see a drop in the inner clearance and a small extention outwards towards the frender.

hey guys, would a 16x10 +0 offset fit in the rear? no over fenders.
Rim sticks out past the body work about an inch.
If you could somehow stretch a 205mm tire on it you could tuck the tire back into the fender with just some negative camber (lowered car) and a roll of the fender lip.
I call it not fitting, others say perfect fitment.

So, what exactly is the IDEAL offset to get 17X8 17X9s (with appropriately sized rubber to match and maximize performance) that isn't too flush and isn't too close to the suspension (fits without coilovers), and doesn't either stretch or pinch the tires?
Also, something that is as close as possible to stock offset and doesn't increase the wear on the axles and bearings.
And comes in sizes that are both available and within a few percent of the stock diameter (speedometer reasons)?
It would be great if I could find something that'll fit an FC and an SW20 MR2, with or without spacers.... but that's a secondary concern, and only for if I get used ones in Japan.

Okay so I'm picking up a set of 17inch SA3 Advan 2 piece rims. i'm thinking of taking the 8in and putting them in the front and thinking of sending the 7in ones to MemeryFab to have them widthen and new lips put on.
What is the perfect off set for a 17x9 rim in the rear with Tein SS Lowered all the way, camber is going to be set to -1degree and looking to roll the fender as much as I can, but if I don't need to I will not?
I've read most of the topic and I'm so confused on what offset I need for a 17x9.
