offset question.
sorry i couldnt find what i was looking for via searching, so this is what i was after
on my FD i am about to buy some buddyclub P1 QF front and rear.
i was going to go 17x9 at the front with 255/40 tyres, and 18x10 and 295/30 tyres for the rear.
but what offset?
buddy club sells the 17x9's with 5, 15, 28, 35, and 63mm
and the 18x10's with 12 or 35mm
thanks!
ps - how do i get my username changed from pitchblackFC to pitchblackFD?

or the other option is 17x9.5 on the rears with 285/35's but the only offset choice is 8mm

yesterday tried on some 18x9 35mm offset QF's on my FD (off our demo car, just 'to see' what they looked like!)
the rears are cool, plenty of room, looks right.
the fronts are too far out, would definately rag the s*** out of the wing
theyre sat on 40 profile rubber, the fronts would need a bigger offset to clear the wing but they dont do one in the 9" unfortunately but they do in the 8"
cos of the scary price (kudos if you can afford the QF's tho!) I'm opting for the P1 racing 1's 17x9 47mm offset (space them out if too much) so I can run a 45 profile and still clear.

the only reason i was wanting to get 17's for the front and 18's for the rear is i wanted wider wheels for the rear, and with the limited amount of tyres for less than $800usd each that fit, the 18's worked out well.
but at the moment i'm leaning towards 17's all round with 255/40 tyres for the street, and 18's all round for the track with 265/35 at the front and 285/30 at the rear (yoko advan a048). so +45 offset is right for 17's with 255 wide rubber?
