No more Potenza RE-01

I noticed tire rack does not sell the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01 anymore. Did the Potenza RE-11 replace them and are they better? The RE-11 are $159.99 but I know a Firestone that sells a set of RE-01 for $122. Can't decide which one to get. I rather have the better tire.

RE-11 is the replacement and is faster.

Both Dunlop Z1's and Kumho XS are quite a bit cheaper, and just as fast (maybe faster? debatable as always)

thanks guys. I also found a review of these tires today on Modified Mag (August Issue). It has some useful information and compares the RE-01.

RE-11's are the RE-01R's, but with better heat dissipation and transfer. The 01's were getting hot spots where as the 11's have, for the most part, solved that problem.

TireRack was clearing out the RE-01R out dirt cheap earlier this year.

As stated the RE-11 is replacing the RE-01R. ON the street the difference would be negligible.
