nitto nt-555r vs. nt-555rll

I am looking at either of these tires. I have the shitiest tires on my stock rims. I get absolutely no traction in 1st, or 2nd, and sometimes in 3rd. For the time being this is my daily driver. I heard the NT-555R last like 15K miles. Are the NT-555Rll rated at the same mileage? I am buying tires real soon but can't decide on either of the two. I have also heard that the NT-555Rll don't fit my 16x8 stock wheel. Please inform me if you guys have any experience with these tires.

Thanks alot
Jay

"My last tires were the Kumho Ecsta 712. These Yokos have me driving 10 mph slower on the highway in turns. They scare me. They are so noisy that it is distracting, at best."

thats a quote from some dude on tire rack. if he thinks these suck compared to the 712's then I dont know what to say because I absolutly HATE my 712's. I dont get traction in 1st or 2nd, and I understear like a bitch in just about every situation.
