Ok guys I just got my new wheels in today they are 18/8 fronts and 18/9 rears and they look great. So what has me worried is that I notice they are all 40mm offset. Do you guys think they will work and look good on the FD? The reason im asking I was told that they wore going to be 38mm offset on all around and got them and they are 40mm all around?

That's basically the same thing. Look at a ruler and get an idea of what 2mm really is.

You can run a 265 rear tire and still be fine. Or you can run a 255 if you are really worried.

I have a 265 rear tire and the offset is +38 and my car is lowered (25.5 from ground to fender). And it doesnt rub AT ALL.

What are you running in the front? I was thinking of running 245/40 fronts and 275/35 in rears.

245/40/18 is too tall for stock fender arch imho.

You need to run these sizes:

235/40/18 and 265/35/18 to retain proper tire diameters and scrub radii.

2 mm is just over 1/16" (5/64") so that shouldn't be a problem.

Well 235/40/18 is already taller than stock.

I can only tell you from experience that I have several clients who have tried without success. Constantly pulling down on fender and wearing away at fender liner in full lock types of positions.

Stock Tire OD (225/50/16) = 24.9"

(245/40/18) = 25.7"

That's pretty significant.

235/40/18 is as much as we like to go over stock OD at 25.4".

Sorry, i forgot to add that im running 17's, not 18's.

And i have a 235/45 front, 265/40 rear.

17 inch wheels.
