Thumbs down New Tokico blow Lowering down from jack stands

I have had two Tokicos leak down at the main piston seal. Not a little bit, almost all the gas and some oil. I placed the car on jack stands after welding up a diff mount. Installed the mount and lowered the car off the stands with a floor jack. I always drop the car slowly. I have a standard set of lowering springs, about an inch or so. Just as the car reaches the ground the shock failed. Its got plenty of travel and the pistons are undamaged. No scratches etc. The first one happened about a month ago in the same way just on the front. I thought I caused it because I had a set of coil over units on the front. I just paid for a new shock and removed the coil overs. Anyone else herd of any problems like this? I have maybe 1K on the shocks. John St. John
