New RX7, New Wheels - Suggestions!
Well, I am back into an RX7 and I'm looking at wheels. What I am looking for is as large as a lip that I can get. I'm thinking MAYBE getting the burnout rear flares or pettit, something to flare out the fares to help add some space/size. Anyway I'm open to all suggestions. I need something that will look good on MB or Black (I may repaint the car black) How does a black wheel with polished lip look on a MB? I know it'll look good on a black car. Here is a picture of my past FD as well as current.

+1 for burnout fenders. I think pettit fenders look ugly and ruins the lines of the FD.
Or, if you want the most lip possible, you can run a similar setup to the Burnout FD.
But you need to stretch the tires, and get aggressive with the alignment.

Budget will probably be around $3000. I need to decide if I want to do the Burnout flares first. I do like those Work wheels though Rishie, dunno about the Goldish finish though. I'll definitely be contacting you again for my wheels and will likely get the Stance coilovers again.

This is a little more aggressive than the standard FD owner would run.
It's been a long time but i'll interpolate the fitment from the look of it.
18x9.5 and 10.5 somewhere in the mid 30's offset i believe.
I need to pull up the lip depths and cross reference them. Work Japan site for the offset tables isn't working, blehhhh.
235/40 and 265/35 i'm pretty sure are the tire sizes.
This FD belongs to the owner of www.wheelchoice.com, fyi.

if your reasoning for widebody fenders is space for wheel fitment, i think you should look at this car. it belongs to a member here named (Supastar Bruce)

all factory quarter panel and fenders that have been rolled to fit big wheels

To the OP, if it's gonna be a while until you do the fenders and such, how about a set of 99 spec rims?

Like that? Hell, I've thought of getting a set of those for winter time, seeing as how there is no snow here.
