New rims, need spacers... but how wide?
So I picked up some old Volk Racing rims. I don't know what model they are but the specs are as follows. 17x7 45et front, 17x8 45et rear. I test fitted these on my 91 turbo prior to buying. Note that I have Tein HA coilovers. The fronts just barely didn't rub the coils in the front. The Rears fit just fine.
Issue is, these are far from flush. Plan is to get spacers to bring them out. I have some bran new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110's arriving monday to mount on the rims. Fronts are 215/45/17's and rear are 245/40/17's. Spacers can be bought in increments of 5mm. So what would the ideal 'effective' offset for this wheel tire combo? I would like flush, but not "crazy mad tight yo!" flush where I would have to roll fenders and still rub on turns. I was thinking 15mm up front to bring them to 17x7 30et and 20mm in back to bring them to 17x8 25et..... Thoughts?
I'll post some pics of the rims tommorrow and hopefully some rim geeks will chim in and let me know what I have.
