New Rims?????

I have a silver FD with gunmetal FN01R-C rims. There 17in. i think its time to get somthing new, but don't know what. i cant find anything i like that goes with silver. i want to find somthing with a pretty aggresive dish. right now im running 17x9 +38 front and rear and i was thinking about going to a 18in rim.

i like the SSR Professor Sp1's or WORK Meister S1 2P but don't think i want a polished lip with black. im not scared to send them to the paint shop. what do you guys think would be a good color combo for a silver FD?

my car

Personally, I think the Works will look best on your car. With the same colour scheme.

If you got the cash, work wheels USA can make the meisters to pretty much any size, offset you want. They will even paint it the finish you want. You can work directly with Work wheels if you don't want to go through the dealers in your area/nation.

Here is what i like on a Silver FD. Aggressive sizes and a nice style makes the difference in a street car.

Work Meister S1 3 piece.
Work VS-KF in Burning Black.
Work Emotion XD9
Fikse Profil 10.
Fikse Profil 5.
CCW Classics.
BBS LM-R.

I am sure i can think of more later.

I personally think that the 5zigen FN01RCs are the most overplayed, hideous "track" wheel.

Any wheel with better sizes, offsets, and style will look better.

Maybe i am an idiot, and stupid.

They are definitely over-played, but so are the ccw classics (especially in the mkiv community) and work meisters that you previously listed. Although, they both do look better than the 5zigen's. Just for the money, the 5zigen's are not that bad of a wheel. Would I run them? Definitely not.

I think proper fitment, and aggressive sizes can make even the most overplayed wheel look great. Problem is all the conservative sizes on all the wheels have been beaten to death it's tough to look good (and most of the time it's really no performance gain either). And everyone goes for the boy racer time attack look on a street car that it just looks ugly (and has no style).

But most mark 4 supras seem to come with instructions when you buy them: RMM Wing, WW Lip, CCWs in gay sizes and ultra conservative ride height (mile high) = teh win.

LOL. I spend A LOT of time on the supraforums and you couldn't be more correct. They have like a 20 page thread just with mkiv's and ccw classics.

I got connections for the majority of your authentic Japanese wheels not to mention fitments.

SSR has a limited discount, but their retail pricing is quite good.

AME is another company you might look into if you want something with Massive lip in mid to high offsets.

Work of course needs no explanation. I like the meister more than the sp1, has a more robust spoke.
