New Rims :)

I just got some SVR DV-8 17x7 Rims with Toyo Proxes T1-R's 205/50 ZR17. Here are a few crappy cell pics. Let me know what you think.

I think your tires cost more than your rims.
I think you're running the wrong tire sizes too - your speedo must be really off.

Yes my tires did cost more than my rims. Wrong size, how is that possible. The stock size is P205/60 R16. It feels great though......

Not to sound like an ***.... but why would you "upgrade" to those rims and run those schmiggly sized tires when you could run 235's up front and 255's out back with better rims that are wider?

Do you know the weight of those rims?

Well Mark you don't sound like an ***. I "upgraded" because I hated the look and the feel of my old stock rims with brand new tires, I would get front tire slide when cornering hard. I am not a racer so weight isn't very important to me, but I do like to take the twisties fast. I do know that I can take corners much faster and smoother with this new setup. My budget constrained me to these rims plus I really liked how they looked. Maybe if I purchase a TII or something worth racing I might put some money into rims, but not now.

wtf, a gtu is (next to the GTUs) the fasters n/a 7 there is, then the gsl-se is right behind that, so my friend, your car is a race car.

Stock tire size was 205/60 15 or 205/55 16, either way 205/50 17 maintains the stock diameter.

If you are happy with them for the style of driving you do, great.

Good choice of tires. I can't tell you how many times I've seen on the forum someone getting a $2k+ set of wheels and then putting cheap, crappy tires on them, so good for you.

I stand corrected, let me rephrase that, I don't race with my car, therefore weight plays little in the role of new parts I get.
