I am trying to find out which Nitto 555 extreme tires I need for my 7.

I am looking to autocross a little and also some drag racing. I check Nitto's website and there was two type of tires, the 555R, which is the drag radials and than the 555R II which is the autocross version (must be new). I believe the 555R II has a harder sidewall for autocross, but basically the same compound as the drag radials. If I happen to pick the drag radials, could it still handle pretty well on autocross?

Just curious if I could get some of your feedbacks on these tires and which 555 type I would need. I am looking to push well over 400rwhp. So I need some good compound tires to keep all the hp to the ground.

I have Fikse 17x10 in the rear and was thinking to go 275/40 or 315/35 tires in the back for some traction.

i doubt because drag tires are meant to have fairly soft sidewalls in order to "crush" to reduce the tendancy of tire spin. Because of this, the side walls would most likely roll over while cornering hard which can be dangerous because the side walls on drag tires are perticularly soft and prone to puncture. If i were going to autocross, i would stick to the autocross specific tire to ensure the safety of myself and the cones around me
