Need help with suspension!

I have a 93 r1 and would like to lower the car. What suspension would you suggest.

Ive found since Ive been coming here that SleepR1 seems to know his ****! And he actually drives the snot out of it IF half of his stroies are true that is . He recommends H&R springs (1.25" drop all arnd) not some pricey coilover package many others get just to fit huge tires. Ive been reading some good stuff about H&R too so if money is a limiting factor I think its the best way to go. My original deal fell thru but Im looking to get the same set......BUT I havent made up my mind which shocks to get just in case when I take everythng off the stockers are shot.

Yep, I run H&R springs, with the stock R1 shocks. I also have Eibach Comp sway bars, which I broke (RF) 2 weeks ago at Mid Ohio. The fusion weld didn't hold up to the g-force side loads through Mid Ohio's Ses!

My R1's a daily driver, so the H&Rs ride quality is very good on the public roads. If my R1 were a second car (strictly just a fun track car), I'd go back to the Racing Beat springs and use Bilstein HD self-adjusting shocks. Right now if I needed new shocks, I'd get the Bilstein HDs and leave the H&R springs and Eibach sway bars.

FWIW, I had the front Eibach sway bar end link bolts TIG welded on to the sway bar, so there's no way the bolt will pull out of the hollow tube again!

I don't lie about my track adventures. There are folks on this forum that can vouch for my enthusiasm for track events: PaulyDee, rrrracerx7, NedM, Rceron just to name a few...

Yep, Bilstein HD stock style shocks. They're self adjusting, but are a bit more aggressively valved than the stock R1/R2 Showa shocks, for motorpsorts driving...

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking about eibach springs but it's only a .75 drop. How long have you had your h&r springs on factory shocks? Also with the 1.25 drop if I put 19's will I have to roll the fenders?

Thanks
