Need advice on springs
I know that this subject has probably been covered but I can't seem to find any info on it.
I just put my new wheels on and the car now seems to sit lower in the rear. I thought it looked a little off so I checked to make sure. Sure enough, the rear end sits about an inch lower than the front.
Here are the specs on the car, and if anyone has any info for me, please share.
1993 FD with about 112,000 on chassis
OEM shocks (base model) I am not sure if they have been replaced
Racing Beat springs (they came installed when I bought the car)
19x8.5 Racing Hart C2 +42 with 245/35-19 fronts
19x10 Racing Hart C2 +45 with 275/30-19 rears
I dont really want an extremely low ride height mainly because the wheels fill the gap pretty good. I am looking for something that will lower it about an inch and still be comfortable (relatively speaking) to drive. Which combo of springs and shocks will get me the closest to what I am looking for?
Thanks in advance.

A lot of choices with the springs, everyone has they're favorite. Do check your upper strut mounts when you change your springs. With all the miles on your chassis I'm almost sure the springs have dug into them pretty bad. I changed mine out last week and they only have 65,000 miles on them.
Part of the lower rear problem is that your rear tires are shorter than your front tires. Look at the RSR race springs, I would have gotten them had they been available when I purchased springs.
Thanks rynberg! I noticed that the front wheels were a little taller today when they were all stacked side by side. I didnt think it would make much of a difference.
I believe most of the problem is the springs I am using. The Racing Beat's lower the rear end alot more than others and I am not a fan.
RSR's it is then.
Thanks again guys.

oneflytrini...That car looks great.
I have one other question, IF I go with coilovers instead of the RSR's, can I go to stock height with them or does installing them make the car lower? I know some of the aftermarket shocks (KONI's) that you can install will automatically make the car drop a little. Just wondering if that is the case for all coilovers as well.
Thanks again guys for informing my dumbass!

Installing Konis does NOT drop your ride height, unless you use one of the other perch settings.
Why spend the money on coilovers when you don't need them? The RSR springs are supposed to be a mild drop of 1/2". If you do want coilovers, you should be able to run fairly close to the stock ride height if desired. Some brands will be lower than stock even at the top of the range.

If you're talking about the threaded-sleeve coilover kits that use standard 2.5" race springs, as long as your springs are long enough, you can set the car to stock height. (Not that I understand why you would want to.) You can get 2.5" internal diameter springs in various rates (usually in 25 or 50 lb/in increments) and lengths (in 1" increments).
