Need Advice on FC suspension.
Hello everyone, I have an 88 vert with about 75k miles on it. I think its good time to get some new suspension since it just doesnt seem to keep up these days.
This car is a Daily driver and I attend autocross sometimes.
Do you guys think i need to get a springs/shock combo or a set of coilovers. Which would be better suited for spirited/casul daily driving and rare autocrossing?
Which would last longer? And what exactly do spring rates mean like how would a 6/5 fr setup feel vs a 8/10 setup?
Thanks.

Thinking about going with a KYB AGX and Ground control coilover kit option. I don't think I need coilovers probably a little overkill. This should do well compared to the stock suspension. Will I feel every bump in the road with these though? Im worried about that since my gf Complains alot in my car :P

Try Stance
autornd.com
maybe you can try 7/6 rates.
you might just regret that sleeves thingy...
You get alot more adjustability with coilovers..
Just get coilovers..
up to you guy..
check it out: stance

i usr tokico illuminas and tanabe springs. The springs are cheap, but if you have to buy the springs and shocks/struts new, you would spend about the same amount on coilovers.

I think that unless you're a hardcore autocrosser or track addict, stick with springs and shocks vs coilovers. I've got coilovers, but I probably wouldn't run them if I didn't go to the track.

a basic spring and shock combo is the way to go.
even a GC coilover sleeve is a good idea for a basic setup.
better clearance, lighter weight and less expensive than a coilover system.
dont forget you can get used coilover parts on honda-tech for pretty cheap and buy springs there too although it can be hard to find the longer springs used on FCs that are preferred for a comfy ride.
