Question Need Advice For 19" Rims/tires

Hey guys,

I was reading the wheel/tire chart, and it seems like it is ALMOST what I was intending to run....but I am kind of raising an eyebrow at the same time, and hoping maybe some of you guys who have run staggered 19's could chime in.

I've been on-and-off the market lately, searching around for a set of staggered 19's to put on the FD, and I came across a set of some WEDS Cerebus rims that I am considering.

The sizes are:
19X8.5 +45
19X9.5 +38

I currently have a set of Tein coil-overs, not agressively lowered at all, at the moment, but at least I have options for raising/lowering as necessary.

So for what tires I would LIKE to run, I was thinking either 245 or 255/35/19's in the front, and then 285 or 295/30/19's in the rear.

Will that cause any issues with STOCK fenders? Would I have to roll them?

Would that cause issues with Shine Auto's "Burnout" 25mm widebody kit? I have the widebody kit, but not installed yet.....that's why I ask if my suggested tire selection would fit on STOCK fenders. ....I'd really prefer not to roll the fenders. :/

The wheel/tire chart SUGGESTS 245/25's and 255/20's for the front, and 275-298/20's for the rear.

That seems REAAAAAAAALLY thin to me. Is that REALLY necessary?

Surely you don't need tires THAT thin to run 19's on the FD????

I was just hoping for some suggestions, personal experience kind of feedback, etc.

I really do want to run 19X8.5/19X9.5 or 19X9.5/19X10.5 sized wheels, and I just want to make sure I don't encounter any fitment or scrubbing issues.

I've always had 18's on my FD's...and I just want something a bit more agressive.

I appreciate any and all advice.

Thanks,
Mike

you will need the rears rolled with 285 tires with +38 on stock rear fenders

In all honesty 19's just aren't a good size for the FD because of the tight circumference of the front fender arch. You're really limited to this tire diameter

235/35/19, 255/3./19. 265/30/19, 285/25/19 if made.

With sidewalls like this the car has to be lowered pretty aggressively to look decent.

Now in terms of maximizing the fitment with the widest tire I would go with 265/30/19 front and rear. IF you're running the Burnout Shine fenders front and rear you can run something like a 9.5 +30 front and 9.5 +15 rear.

A lot will come down to your tire budget. If you can afford it then we can spec out a crazy fitment. If you want to stretch tires then you need to work with something like a 235/35/19. Even the Burnout demo car ran 18's front and 19's rear.

This would be more prudent to me. if you do that you can run 255/35/18 front and 285/30/19 rear. This would look nice and be relatively balanced.

After I install the Burnout fenders, that's about the fitment I would like to do.

255/35/19 and 285 or 295/30/19 in the rear.

That should fit well I think.

:]

Just gotta make sure I have good offsets on my rims, right?

BTW...I hate HATE the stretched/"hellaflush" look.

just wanted to point out he was talking about running 255/35 on 18's in the front, not on 19's

Hmm is was wondering this too. I got a set of new wheels for relitively cheap. I want to try to put them on but don't know if its worth the hassle. I checked the FD wheel and tire sizing and it says that I could possibly run 245 or 255 front, and the rears just out of there haha....but I'm going assume probably 295 or 305 with spacers. You guys think its worth the hassle or just go 18's? And I do have the burnout wide fenders too.

Front: 19x9.5 +39
Rear: 19x11 +62
