need 1/2" on suspension?

Any suggestions on how to raise my FD 1/2" without buying new suspension again.
I have installed H&R springs with stock struts. The look and handling is awesome BUT the bottom of my car scrapes the pavement every time I go in & out of my garage.

Is there a simpler solution or am I FU*&^ED?

Thanks for any help.

Alex..you out there?

How about doubling up on the rubber spring isolators (I think that's the name -- the rubber mat the top of the spring pushes on)?

What size wheels are you running?

If they are stockers, or 245/40/17's, i feel your pain.

The one benefit of upgrade wheels and tires <usually> being larger-diameter is, well, they are larger diameter. Might be time to go for some 17s or 18s.

some 235/45/17 or 235/40/18 fronts will help you out a bit... but get used to it, scraping the lip on a lowered RX is a way of life... thats why many folks are reluctant to go with fiberglass aftermarket noses.

I am running 225/50/16 in front & 245/45/16 in rear.
I am not scraping the lip. I am scraping the metal protection of the brake wires (I think)

OOHH... you mean right under the seat (or thereabouts)? Happen over tall speed bumps as well?

Same deal: a set of 235/45/17 front, 265-275/40/17 rears will help you out a bit.

It's a light scraping, do you think it's a big deal??
only happens when entering & exiting my garage.
Think I should live with it?

Actually, if you like the way your car sits and handles, I'd consider modifying the entrance to my garage.

Just deal with it till you can afford new wheels/tires (which i assume you'll want anyway.

I have H&R springs, stock R1 Showa shocks, Eibach sway bars, 9 x 17 SSR Integral A2s (45 mm offset), 255/40-17 tires. I don't get any rubbing or scraping. You might have something else interfering especially considering that your wheels/tires are basically stock?
