Edit: Sorry, my MazdaComp decade old [I assume] GC plates a sphericals front and rear on the uppers, but I don't remember the upper perch being on the spherical rather than resting against the plate in the rear.
you will have to look. the following is FB/FC (actually most of the fitments just change the top plate, so its just non FD camber plate).

on the OLD GC plates (97ish) the slider and spring perch, where the needle bearing are, is flat. the spring perch cannot articulate by itself, although the shock can, which will chew up the top of the shaft. my OLD set is a grey anodized top plate, and slider.

the NEWER GC plates have a conical section, this lets them pivot a little, but as these are a revision not a lot. the NEW set (from 2002!) is black anodized.

for the FD i'm not sure at all what is out there, as we have our own stuff, like in the pic
