My ABS light is on...can someone help???

Hey guys, my ABS light is on. I checked the fuse in the engine bay over by the battery and it was fine. My brake fluid is right where it needs to be and is spotless clean.

What all can I check? I dont know **** about brakes, never ever touched them. My car only has 40K miles and I've even got the pads that came on the car new lol.

Thanks for any help!!!

Also Check all the Wheel sensors - a bad sensor and/or connection will cause the light to stay on

Ok, I think thats what it is cause I was hitting the brakes real hard trying to see if it would pulse and I noticed it sounded like one wheel was squeeling. I guess this would mean I've got one sensor bad....now I just need to figure out which wheel it is.

Where is the sensor and/or connection that would normally cause such a problem??? (whats it look like, ect?)

Also, is there anyway i can test it to know if thats the prob or not???

Thanks,
STEPHEN

The wheel speed sensors are located at the back of each wheel hub. (For instance if you remove your front wheel, then turn the steering wheel you'll see the sensor on the backside of where the wheel mounts, I call what the wheel/rotor mounts to a "hub".) You'll see a bolt on connector type thing with a black and a white wire coming out of it. I believe there is one on a 4 wheels. Now as far as how to test them I have no clue.

I pulled the wires out of one "by accident" while changing springs, and they're not something you really want to buy new from the dealer at $200.00 + a peice.

When I had work done on my car they sensor got loose and cause the light to stay on. All they had to do was tighten it.

hope that helps.
