My 2 cents on TOYO proxes 4's
Just picked up a set of these tires yesterday. Mounted 225/50/16 on TII rims and I must say they are very flush and good looking. Was talked out of getting Falkens and so I wound up with the Toyo's. After some hard turns and dumping the clutch these tires gripped like none other. Roll was minimal and handling almost perfect. Any one else use this tire and are they really better than the falkens?

That depends on which Falkens you're talking about. The Falken Azenis Sport is probably the ultimate dry street tire, but they wear out after about 6,000 miles. The Proxes 4 are a good, well balanced all season tire. I personally run the Proxes T1-S because all I see is rain, never snow or anything else.

Yeah I think that was the main complaint. These toyo's get put to the test because it rained and I had to hit the brakes because some dipshit on the freeway made almost a complete stop to get on an offramp. Didn't slide a bit and I really laid into the brakes. Granted RX-7's have awesome brakes. But I need a balanced tire because its a daily driver. My old '81 had Sumitomo HTR4's and that thing had amazing dry grip but was all over the place in the rain.
