mustang rims on a fd continue

well i went out and bought a couple of 2002 17inch stang rims and they do seem to fit very nicely on a fd, the center is tall enuf as well as backspacing and boltholes are all good. i gotta say, they dont really look that bad.

I got some MT off a Stang! The mitsu elcipse and nissa altima also fit!

btw, mustang wheels are only 17x8 so why would you want that? The do work well for fc's though.

90+ 300zx rims are good for the FC while we are on the subject of other brand OEM wheels for RX-7s.

I was looking into the new cobra ones a few months ago. They are 17x9 and 17x10 They used to have them on ebay for pretty cheap.

Not the real cobra rims...

The 03 Cobra uses 17x9 rims (base and 10th anny).

The old "Cobra R" rims you see everywhere are 17x9 in their original form (from a 95 Cobra R - model R58). Too many people make crappy repro's of them...such as in the above photoshopped pic. The real ones looks MUCH better. They have a 5.95" backspacing - not sure if that will work with an FD or not. They also have great brake clearance, are light, strong, and cheap. (relatively)

All 94-01 Cobras (not R models) used 17x8 wheels with the same dimensions as the standard GT 17" rims. There were no normal Cobras made in 00 or 02. The 00 Cobra R used 18x9.5" rims that, IMO, look awesome. They would be worth a shot on the right FD...just tell the casual idiot obvserver they are SSR Integrals or something....I've seen people make the mistake before!
