does anybody know off hand what the motion ratio is for the fd?

one inch at front wheel = .6 at shock
one inch at rear wheel = .68 at shock.

leverage ratio the suspension has on the shock. Using Howards answers, 1" of wheel travel = .6" of shock travel.

sorry can't help you on the angle though i did measure it and have it somewhere. btw, my numbers were done at 25 inches ride height measured at the wheel well lip. i have no idea what it is at stock ride height but it won't be much diff.

It's used to compute wheel rate. Wheel rate is the effective spring rate that the wheel/tire actually see. Since the wheel is mounted further along the lever (suspension arm) than the spring the wheel sees less rate than the spring provides.

The wheel rate is 86 in/sec front and rear.
