most meat on stock fd wheels

what is the most meat i can fit on the stock fd wheels with out it looking like the good year blimp, i also have koni and eibach pro combo. want something a more aggresive than the stock size tires while still keeping a good look!

245/45-16 is a very common "upgrade" size for tires on stock FD wheels.

ditto. Very common and almost the exact same height as originals (actually a few tenths shorter). I'd post up a pic of my car, but i'm on a computer at work...

a good friend of mine who races SCCA stock class (sandro) uses 265-46-16 on stock rims.
i will do that on my next set of R compound tires.

Be sure you're willing to sacrifice your front fender lips. I have caught mine on occasion with only 245's.

Be sure to check the actual sizes if you get a different tire model in that size. A 265/45-16 Hoosier is likely not the same size as a 265/45-16 Kumho.
