Question M2 AP Brake Kit Replacement Rotors?

I just picked up an M2 AP brake setup, the one with the AP 5200 calipers and 13" 2-piece rotors. Now I need to order some replacement rotor rings. Anybody here running this setup, and if so, do you have the specs for the rotors? I can take the measurements if I need to, but it would be great if somebody already has the specs and has used them to order replacements.

Unfortunately that is the N-Tech AP kit, not the M2. Same calipers and a very similar setup, but I don't know that the rotors are the same.

it tells you how to measure your rotors so you can send the dimensions to coleman racing.

I have a Coleman spec sheet and am going to take the measurements. I was just hoping somebody had already done the work and gotten replacements with good results. This is the case with both the Ntech AP kit and the M2 Wilwood kit.

Thanks to Crispy, I have more info on the rotor rings. They are an odd size that was made by AP for CART some years ago, 328mm x 29.2mm. That's all the info I have at this point. I'll post the specs once I get around to measuring them and verify that they fit correctly.

The hardware I got was 1/4-28 NAS hex head bolts (part #17495) and lock nuts (part #16199), 10 each per rotor. These are overkill and I actually told them I didn't want the NAS hardware, but they used them anyways. The bolts are $3.70 each and the nuts are $0.80 each, so the hardware came to $90! That was a nice little surprise when I received the bill.

The price breakdown for each rotor was as follows:

DV32-1300-150 - Custom solid mount rotor (directional vane) - $134.25
18841 - Stress relieve rotor - $18.90
18844 - Gas vented rotor, 8 slots per side, opposite of vanes - $16.25

Total per rotor - $169.40

BTW I sent the old rotors to Coleman and let them do the measurements, so these specs are from them. I left the hats on the rings so I just had them assemble the rotors before shipping back to me.

Got another set of rotors from Coleman, and I now have all of the measurements (was missing eye diameter).

Part #DV32-1300-150 Custom solid mount rotor

1.150" thickness
12.875" diameter
7.455" flange diameter
8.630" eye diameter
0.250" hole size
10 bolt holes
8.085" bolt circle
0.245" flange thickness

Make sure to specify one left and one right rotor, and have them stress relieve the rotors. I don't bother with slotting as it just doesn't make any difference for track use.

Great info. Thanks for sharing, I just sent in my order.

Do you know what brake pads fit this kit? I need new brake pads as well.

Why did you change the hardware? Can't you use the old hardware (I remember Brian used really high grade material) again on the new rotors?

I run Performance Friction 01 pads, the part number is 7767.01.17.44.

I reused the NAS fasteners this time. I replaced the hardware the first time around because I bought the kit used and did not know how many times the hardware might have been reused, felt safer to just replace it all and know how long it's been in service.

It has been a few years since my last track event. I have totally forgotten all the specs and number on wearable items such as break pads.

Thank you for the info you provided. Totally helps me out.

I take it by your avatar that these are good pads to use on the track? What is a good match for the rear? I have stock rear break calipers.

Where is a good place to buy these pads from?

Thank you again in advance for your time and knowledge.

I run stock rear brakes. I would just use the same PFC 01 compound for the rear, but they don't make pads for stock FD calipers anymore. I have tried a few different rear pads, and the NTech competition compound pads are my favorite. The car is more stable under braking with these pads on my setup, especially when braking while turning.

I get the PFCs from OG Racing here in Sterling VA (check hrpworld.com), and you have to order the NTech CC pads from ntechengineering.com.

I have heard really good things about Endless pads. Never tried them, but supossedly they last 3-4 times the other brand names (Pagid, PF, etc.).

I wonder if it is worth doing the research. I'll try and post my finding here.

Thanks again for the help.

Yes, it's sometimes listed as CP5200.

I took his advice and ordered from Coleman also. Perfect fit, and they work just fine on the track.

Worked 100% for me.
