Lowering an '88 convertible
Hi,
Just got my hands on an '88 RX7 Convertible. I am new to the Mazda world, but I love the car. It is pretty much stock except for the stereo. Has the factory BBS rims.
My Question is this: I would like to lower it a bit (not too aggressive), without changing the driveability much, (comfort - my wife drives it too) and without spending too much cash. Anyone have any advice or suggestions on a setup? Does this involve a lot of work?
Again, I'm new to this type of mod, but am comfortable doing it myself.
Thanks in advance.

strike up the paean
get some mild lowering springs and a fresh set of shocks to go with them.
actual work will involve unbolting your shock and spring assembly and removing it from the car. not difficult at all. then you assemble your new shock and spring set, probably using your stock mounts. finally you bolt it back into the car. its pretty straightforward.
finally, you need to limp the car to a shop and get an alignment.

a search on google, or even on rx7club will turn up a more detailed how-to write up, i'm sure. good luck!
