Looking for some nice mesh rims...

Hey guys, I've been reading this section of the site for a little learning what fits under an FD. Anyway, I'm in the market for new rims for my FD (I have the stock ones now). The car puts down somewhere around 470-80 rwhp. Stock R1 suspension. So here is what I’m looking for:

  • 17" Mesh Style Rims
  • Light (less than 20lbs, or whatever the experts recommend)
  • A sliver color or brushed (no black, colored, or chrome)
  • A rim width suitable for tires that can handle that much rwhp. I'm not sure on this but I was thinking 9" in the front and 10" in the rear, but I’d like to hear your suggestions.
  • This isn't really a requirement but I’d like something that not many people have. A less popular rim. I like the RPM2s but it seems like so many people have them.

I know this is quite a request, but I’d love to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Look at the FM-10. They have a 17", 9" and 10" fitment.

Thanks for the quick reply ptrhahn. I like the FM-10s, I also like almost all of their other wheels.

Do you happen to know what a set of them cost? I'm guessing their are quite pricey?

It's not about how many people have it's how it functions...I searched for a while for RPo1's only because I love how light hte wheels are and they do look good on an FD..I was not concerned on how old they are or how many people have it....

Function is most important, but i do want my car to be unique.

Great pics, any more suggestions? I dont believe Fiske, nor the BBS RGRs come in FC friendly offsets. I will probably be going with Enkei RPM2s if I cant find anything else shortly. They are nice, but I like wheels with a lip. I had a set of Volk GTUs, but they didnt come in a nice enough width.

Last time I inquired I was told ~$700 per wheel, but you may want to get confirmation on that, I could me mistaken. For that price, you can almost get a full set of the RPM2s..

Fikse come in any offset you want.. they're modular and can be custom made. They do have FC and FD fitments. From Fikse, the 17" wheels are about $650/per. You can usually do better with dealers that discount them a bit, down to around $550 or so. (well, officially they discount the TIRES, so they don't **** Fikse off).

CCW's are the best 3 piece bang for the buck rim IMO. Fast turnaround and if you were to bend a rim you can easily replace the section as they have tons of spares.

Fiske is $$$$. HRE is $$$$. CCW's are about $1900 in 18x10 size and you can get the weight around 20lbs. With the correct offset you can run these all around with 285/30/18's. That is what I'd do.
