Largest wheels/tires, stock 93 FD

I'm trying to fit as much tire as possible. I know it's going to suck not having PS, but that just means that it's time to hit the gym more

Anyway, I want the widest wheels possible. I'm not gong to modify the fenders, I'm slightly lowered (koni yellows, tein s-tech springs), and I don't (obviously) want to deal with rub.

I don't want the car to plow all over the place, so I'd also like to have decent sized wheels/tires up front.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

You've got a lot of conflicting desires going on there.

Plan on rolling the front fenders if you want to put a front tire on that is even near what would be considered "wide" on the rear.

This has been covered more times then i can count on my hands and toes.

Did you care to search at all?

That being said...i believe from memory the largest you can have on the rear's is 285.

Allow me to rephrase.

I know the sizes that fit. I have Jimlab's excel sheet.

The problem that I'm having is finding the actual brand of wheels to look for, where to get them, etc.

It's kind of hard to ask for specific recommendations without providing a budget or general styling preferences.

Fair enough. I'd like to stay below $2k for the set (wheels only), and I'm more of a fan of thicker spoked wheels rather than mesh-type wheels.

It can't be done with new wheels for below $2k....the closest you could get in those widths would be CCW Classics, which are not your aesthetic preference.

If you settle for slightly narrower widths, there will be many choices, some of which are even quality wheels. Contact Rishie at Auto RnD, give him your budget and widths, and see what he comes up with.

How about gram lights (pro 57 or pro57F)? I think you can get a set for about $2k and they come in 18x10 so you can run 18x10 (+50 offset) all around with 285s.

5zigen, Gramlites, Enkeis and even any of the used wheels on ebay from jdm importers can be had for under $2000 for wheels alone.

They don't make any of those wheels in 18x10, +50 offset. In fact, very few of those wheels are available in 18x10 period.

Oops, my bad. You're right. The gram lights are not available in a +50 offset.
