Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 OR Falken Ziex ZE-512 Tires??

In a debate between Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 OR Falken Ziex ZE-512 Tires??

My original tires are 205/60/R15

Supra Tires only come close to the original size at 205/55/R15

The Ziex 512's come in at 205/60/R15..

Both are roughly the same price but can't decide between the two...
Can u guy's help me out?
I was told not to go over 205 width on a 1990 GXL Stock rim.. Or else i would have gone with 225's.
Thanks!

What are you looking for in a tire?

Well i probably want, what everyone wants...

Don't care to much about noise...
Wouldn't mind decent tread life, something that hooks up good and gets me around corners fairly nice.
I just do day-day street driving if that makes any difference. No autocross or anything like that.

the 712's are junk. i've never seen a single car that has had them without the sides bubbling out. my g/f went thru 10 of them before she got fed up with it. she does have the ziex's on her stock wheels and seem to do quite well

i never sell my customers the kumhos. Never had any good feedback with them and i have never really liked the tire to begin with. Loud tire too. i would go with the 512 before the 712 anyday.

Hated the Kumho 712. The Kumho MX is a good tire though.

i agree with damon, the mx is a great tire and costs about the same or a little bit more, if they don't have your size or they are too pricey then go with the 512's, i got them on my civic, they last a while and are pretty decent for long lasting street tires(performance wise)

I had the 712's on my Probe GT. I drove them pretty hard and they weren't that bad until they got to about 60% of their original tread. After that they got really noisy and didn't stick well at all. I burned the fronts down to nothing before 6000 miles. After that I moved the rears up front and came across an unbeatable deal for 711's. At least I thought it was a deal until I actually drove on them. The 711's are probably the worst tires I've ever bought.

When I had the 712's on my car any gas i gave it would make me think I was in water for how much they spun.
