Killer Rims

I just went through the entire collectin of TAKAKAIRA wheels and found the baddest and coolest looking rims for the FD.I swear I'm changing my Tantrums for these although they're twice the cost.

theyre so-so, i think racing hart makes some wheels that look like that, they are prolly easier to get.

Yeah, they're ok...a little too tall for my taste...I guess this is why wheel selection is endless...to satisfy so many DIFFERENT tastes out there!

Those rims would be really sweet if they just had a lip to them. Make that rim in a 2 piece or 3 piece and I'd be all over it! Trade those Fikse's in

They do look like Skyline GT-R wheels.I agree a 3 piece would be kickin' and as for the ride hight,it won't be a problem with my car because I got side skirts (Vailside C2),but I'll probably have to go with different spring because mine aren't that flexible in lowering ride hight. Thanks for the coments and can anybody recomend springs that would eliminate the space in the wheel wells.

ick
I personally think they look nasty, the wheel parts don't "flow" together nicely, and it definately needs a lip. I don't think I would like them on any car.

Racing Hart CP-035(R)'s - good luck keeping them intact on the street.

Those things have been known to SHATTER.&nbsp In fact, I believe they are banned from races in Japan, cause they are too fragile.&nbsp Those wheels ARE very light - there's a trade-off between weight and strength when you get very light like those rims.&nbsp Maybe ARD TII can shed more light on this, as he has a ton of experience with rims?

Is it only the R version (full chromed look) the ones known to shatter, bc im after the regular version (powdercoat look)? Thanks for shedding some light on this!! Would you happen to know of any other rim that shares the same "looks" of it, as well as being moderately lightweight?

Any input Rishie? Do you think maybe the first few sets that were made were too lightweight, and Racing Hart strengthened them by now?

Konig Sub-zero which is what I will prolly end up getting. The 17s weigh like 16 or 17 lbs. There are other ones just like it though that ARD T2 knows about. Only one I can think of is the "Rota" brand I think.

they are aluminum. aluminum rims bend they do not shatter. magnesium shatters. i had them for quite sometime and did not have any problems with them. the new 2 piece ones cp035r's are supposed to be even stronger.
