Kei Office Coilover Rebuild?
I picked up a set of Kei Office Type-GU coilovers for an FD and two of the shocks are blown. The US distributor for their suspension bits can't rebuild them and I can't find any info on how to get in touch with the company in Japan. Does anyone know of a US shop that might be able to rebuild them? I'm not looking for a revalve or anything fancy, just need to have the seals changed, new oil, and a fresh nitrogen recharge. Any help you guys can offer would be highly appreciated.

Do I understand correctly? You asked the US distributor of these products how to get them serviced and they can't help?
And you guys wonder why I never recommend any of this JDM stuff...

Yep, apparently the GUs were discontinued before they became the US distributor and they can't service them here. If I was buying coilovers new, I would never have bought these because of the lack of US support like you said. I got them cheap enough that if the shocks are completely worthless, I really wouldn't be too upset.

Ridiculous.

Worst part is, I remember hearing that Kei Office's suspension dept is temporarily closed, but that was a year ago.
Good luck my friend.
Edit- the same thing has happened with JIC magic, where the US distributors would just hang up and give you the runaround.

Well they say that they aren't servicing the GUs anymore and offer a discount off some new ones if I trade them in. I'm not real motivated to drop a lot of cash on a new set though since their service record seems pretty spotty and I don't want to be in the same position when I need a rebuild in the future.

That'd be Drift Speed and their customer service seems to be a bit subpar. I sent them an inquiry about a week ago and haven't gotten a response at all

I know this is an old thread, but here is where you need to send coil overs to be rebuilt since this is a common problem.
go to tamparally(dot)com or call 813-333-1100
good quick shock service.
