Impressions of JIC FLT-A2's at VIR
A couple of weekends ago I went to a high speed driving school with the Mazda Drivers group:

This event was at VIR on the full course:
http://www.virclub.com
This was my fourth time at VIR (second on the full course). But this was my first time with the JIC FLT-A2's. I have to say that I was VERY happy with the way my car handles now.
In the past some of the sections at VIR used to induce a LOT of body roll and made controlling the car a little difficult at times. With my JIC's the car stayed flat all the way around the track and the car went exactly where I pointed it. With the JIC's I could now really begin to push the limits of my tires for the first time.
I have to say that I am really happy with this new setup and would recommend it to anyone who uses their car on the street and on the road courses like I do. I have even taken it to autocrosses and have yet to get much body roll out of the car. The car stays so flat is is unreal. I just love it!
Just for reference here is some info on my suspension:
Car: 1994 PEP Rx-7
Front Sway Bar: Stock
Rear Sway Bar: Stock
Springs and Shocks: JIC FLT-A2's
Note: R-2 Strut Bar was added to my car

I ran at VIR with two different spring/shock combos before.
1. Stock Springs and Shocks
2. Koni Yellows and PFS Blue Springs
The second setup caused some rubbing on the top of the inner fender on the drivers side. It was really only a problem coming out of hog pen going into the main straight.
With the second setup the whole car seemed to load up on the left hand side, because of the fact that the turn is off camber and going to the right. But I know that you know all about the course. I recognize your name and know that Chris Regan, yourself, and several of your friends are regular track junkies.

Oh I forgot. I was in the white run group this time. Usually I am in the green group, but this time there were too many intermediate drivers at the event and they split them into two groups. My Dad ended up running in the green group and I was in the white. I didn't really care for that since we usually run in the same group, but what are you going to do.
I was driving a black FD with two red stripes across the passenger fender. My Dad was driving a red FD with Fikse wheels. We both parked along the row closest to the staging area.

We have compared both cars and have decided that not only is my ride smoother and more comfortable, but it also handles close to the same if not better. Keep in mind he hasn't had much of a chance to tune the tripoint bar yet (he just purchased it recently).
