I'm going to buy some tires *need advice*
I need 265 40 R18s. I am looking for a tire that has a good balance of performance and durability.
I was thinking about going with a BF Goodrigh KDW series tire.
What tires would you recommend?
I have had experience with Falcon and I don't the tires that I bouht. They wasted way too quickly. Khumos last long, but grip is an issue.

Hmmm....a bit of an odd size. Most 265s are a 35 series profile, aren't they? I LOVE my Bridgestone Potenza RE750 tires, but they only come in 265-35 in 18 inch....

Above is a good link to some tires in that size. Obviously your KDWs are in there, and I really like that tire too. There are some Michelin Pilots and Bridgestone RE050s also.
All good tires.

I have the BFG's you mentioned on my FD, and they're great tires. The best tire I've been on in the rain hands down, and the dry grip is right up there too. Not as sticky as Azenis, but they'll last more than twice as long, and MUCH better grip than Kumho 712's or something. If you have Kumho MXs on your car, the BFGs have about the same grip on dry tarmac, but like I said, the KDWs are unreal in the rain. "KDW stands for "Key = Dry and Wet"
I liked 'em so much, I got another set for my Protege5.

Goodyear Eagle F1. Awesome in the rain, awesome in the dry. Everyone I know that has tried them loves them. Good durability for the performance.
